Our story

Our Partners have been practicing together for over 25 years and they are driven by watching businesses thrive. Their experience has taught them that knowledge is what empowers clients to succeed in business so this is why they make the extra effort to provide their services in a comprehensive way. KA Accountants have a loyal client base, including numerous multi-generational family members; proof that their level of personal service is unparalleled.

We believe it is crucial for business owners to understand the foundations of their accounting software so they feel engaged and empowered to review their business at any time and see how it is performing. We are here to educate and then assist you as much as you need.

We pride ourselves on always being there for our clients. We empower them to reach their goals.

OUR TEAM

HELEN SOMERVILLE

Helen Somerville joined our firm in 1993, originally as an Administration Assistant and then as an Accountant since 2000 while studying her Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting part-time.  She became CPA qualified in 2010 and enjoys assisting Michelle and Beth with the tax and accounting needs of all our clients, in particular SMSFs.  When not at work, Helen spends her time with her husband and two children.  She also enjoys catching up with friends over a nice BBQ and cold glass of Pinot Grigio, camping, reading and curling up on the couch watching a good show or movie on TV.

Beth Abbott is a Certified Practising Accountant and one of the founding Partners of K A Accountants. Beth’s passion as a CPA and a business owner is to promote small businesses and encourage them to be confident with their bookkeeping and communication skills to enable their success. She enjoys the challenge of identifying and solving problems, listening to the needs of business people and creating a space where she can connect and support business owners to reach their potential.

Beth is involved in her local community and her keen interest in health and fitness plays a key role in this. She also sits on the board for Transitioning Thoroughbreds Foundation, this not-for-profit organisation aligns closely with her passion for horses and their welfare. Beth played a pivotal role in the initial setup for this Foundation and is proud to be a part of it.
